Default Dust Shields?

I have an IS 350 and the front rims get so dirty so fast! i could switch to ceramic pads but they wear the rotor much faster. my buddy turned me onto dust shields. they sit on the rotor between the wheel. all the dust that is created from the bads bet stoped by the shield. click the link below to see what they look like. Has anyone used a dust Shield and how did it work out? where did you get it?

Just get the brake TSIB done and Lexus will give you the dustless pads for free.

There's a TSB on the pads.
Just called my dealer yesterday.
The dealer will replace the front brake pads with a low dusting set.
I've having mine done as soon as the pads come in for FREE!

brake shields have been around for years; I had them on my 1989 Maxima. They may cut down on brake dust build-up on the wheels, but also impede brake cooling.

tsb = technical service bulletin

just get the brakes done at the dealer. its a significant reduction of dust i was so surprise to see how much better the wheels look and honestly the braking still feels just as good

How about just put on Endless pads for your OE set up!

I would avoid the dustshields...they can make your rotors overheat and warp --- just get the free brake pad swap from Lexus.

I just got home from getting mine done, not much of a difference in feel, but big difference in dust.

I got my car a few weeks back and have noticed the excessive brake dust. So how long do we have to get the TSB done for the brakes? Is there a certain mileage or timeframe that goes with it? I'm thinking of just keeping the originals (I don't mind cleaning the wheels every 2 weeks or so) and then having the TSB done when I have like 15K miles on them? Will that be possible?

Are you kidding? You clean your wheels every two weeks?? Ok...ummm there is not time frame or miles on the TSB for the pads as long as you VIN falls within the TSB call out for.
