So yea I got my first ticket in my IS 350 after about a year sad but it was bound to happen lol. Driving down the road and my V1 give me a laser reading and I thought it was the infinity in front of me but there was the little highland park cop sitting on the side in his stupid 50k suburban Apparently I was going 53 and the speed limit was 30 on a 6 lane road So lesson learned...get a laser jammer . Btw anyone from dallas near the highland park area that thinks 30mph for the entire highland park area is ridiculous??

You got caught, it happens. Take the driving school and avoid the points, which is the most important thing. As long as you are less than 25 mph over the limit, and haven't taken the course in the last year you are good to go to take the class. It'll still cost you about $200 when all is said and done. Whether locals think 30 is not the right speed limit is immaterial. That's the posted limit so you are stuck with it.

Others will post that you should try and fight it, but it will cost you at least as much to hire a ticket lawyer and no guarantee they can get you sprung.

Gosh how much I hate that it's true

Challenge yourself, get rid of the V1. Learn to drive literally at the speed limit. Find a local track and rip out your intestines there, it's a LOT more fun.
