Red ring = felony in California.

Just a warning for you speed-demons. Result is huge fine, license suspension, car impounded, and sometimes jail time...

134 in my Acura Integra GSR on a closed course of course. Haven't taken my IS350 up to any real speed yet, only had it two weeks. I will do a top run eventually, maybe in a few months.

ya that feature is standard, there is a way to reprogram it to go off at differnt speeds... the standard feature is for orange to go off at 80 and the red to go off at 100

Maybe. Maybe not. Depends on a lot of things. If you blow by the cops at 135 on a deserted freeway at 3 am and realise they are there, then pull over and wait for them you won't have any of that bad stuff happen. Not like I would know from experience or anything...

And if you get cited for going 101 mph in Kern County during the drive from LA to SF after watching Stanford unfortunately lose the Rose Bowl even though you were going at most 95 with a pack of cars around you, and then show up at court to contest, The judge will say "You kids from Palo Alto think you can drive down here as fast as you want. I went to Chico State. I'm going to make an example of you." and then take away your license for an entire month.

Not like I would know from experience or anything...
