OK, that actually made me: Laugh-Out-Loud

BTW, not everybody in Texas dresses that way.

I'm pretty sure they do not run a credit check on you as they do not have your social security number on your drivers licenses. Also I may be mistaken but it is illegal to run a credit check without prior consent(excluding reasons such as you applying for credit and their associate companies etc..). They need you to sign something in order to check your credit.

Ok. It is the weekend so not so much shopping but I spoke to a lady about the 350 on Friday. She was quoting me 37800-38500. Not including tax and all the fees. That was with the first package they offered. The base on it is 36k so that was not to bad.

Well my mother in law bought a es 350 2007 with the first package that is 3972.00. the base msrp on the es is 34185. well she ended up getting the vehcile at 35,600, and that includes the 3,972 package, plus tax, and fees and left at 37000 even out the door for the es350 with the first package.

what do you guys think, possible if i bring her along? i mean the base msrp es is 33k. the package is almost 4k and tax and fees near 2500k. they should have left near 39500-40000 but instead saved 2500-3000.

msrp for the IS 350 is = 36k. i want hid plus maybe a spoiler. no more then a grand of extras. plus 2k in tax. so if i can get the same deal then i should be able to get it for 36500-37000 with taxes and my little custom package. yes, no ?

It'll be tough. Lexus, at least in my experience here in CA, discourages special orders, and claims that the price will be close to MSRP in that case. Probably just their initial offer, but I didn't pursue.

i can see why though, as the packages are real money makers for Lexus. Base models are almost never available because they want to be able to advertise a low "starting at" price even though no cars are ever sold that way.
