Default Windows after a wash

Is it me or do the window rails stay wet for days after a wash. After a good day of washing and waxing and leaving it alone for a day or two i still get water streaks when i roll down the windows for up to 3 days. Whats up with that? Is anybody noticing the same?

+1 But I live in high humidity MS.

In the morning I get the streaks but thats due to the fact that my Lex isn't parked in a garage.

kindred6ul,

I have exactly the same problem as you do....its one of the cons for having a really well sealed door. Maybe when the mid life upgrade comes Lexus will have solved that issue.

Yeah i thought this was too much moisture for any given day. It has nothing to do with humidity since it's the dead of winter in they NY metro area with 10% humidity. Im sure it's the fabric on the window seal.

My trick: I don't use RainX on the front windshield as it causes a loud rubbing noise with the windshield wipers.

However, for the side windows and side mirrors, I apply RainX to minimize (not prevent) streaks and spots from "accidental squirts" and the such.

I don't even use rainX... the windows are water repellent treated. It's obvious too because when theres water on any of the windows and you jump on the freeway, the water just blades off easily.

It even states they are water repellent.
