I would suggest GM Synchromesh Friction Modified if it meets the requirements in your manual. That stuff is friggin' awesome. I tried 5 different tranny oils in my S2000 before trying it, and all my problems went away.

You need to drain that out right away! It is a gear lube, not a transmission oil. Your synchros are disolving as we type!
Never mind ... I should have checked the manual before posting ...

To my extreme surprise, the manual does recommend a GL-4 or GL-5 gear lube for the manual transmission. I've never heard of that before.

Thumbs down I will never buy a crappy Lexus again

This has been the worst experience I have ever had buying a car.

Well this is a worthless thread. No information about the dissatisfaction and only 8 posts.

Are you having nothing to do except for posting such a rant like this? At least give us what problems/issues you have encountered with.

        Anyway, Merry Christmas.

        Silver,

I take it your still having issues with your grinding noise. I was reading your other posts yesterday. A friend was asking me to do a search and look to see if there was any issues with the manual IS250.

Well yes that's the problem. I think if you ask anyone who bought the MT IS250 they would have to agree. Lexus peaked out about 3 years ago and it's starting it road downhill. Customer service has gone to the *****ter.

yea i agree. i have some issues w/ my MT also right now. I can drive my friends manual perfectly. but i can't seem to get mine down, difficult to revmatch while shifting. downshifting is fine though. also the clutch shutter pisses me off.. to tell you guys the truth.. i should have just bought an auto.. and not give up the navi option and 100hp i originally planned

I'm not sure I'd go for the auto tranny either. I've heard of enough people with their own share of problems.

This is scary. I've driven cheap $15,000 honda's and it was 100 times better than this thing. I'm going to seen how much it's gonna cost to break the lease. Should have went with the M3 all along.

Really? Can you post links -- I haven't heard of a single automatic transmission problem on either the IS250 or IS350.
