Timing belt or chain?
Just wondering if the 3.5 litre engines are using timing belts or timing chains... Anyone know?

I'd like to note that both the IS350 and the IS250 use TIMING CHAINS.

Good to know timing chains are used on IS. I still remember the old days of problems with timing belts on Audis and Subarus.

Just out of curiosity what type of noises would you typically hear when you are having timing chain issues. My 07 is making what sounds like a rattling noise, and is very slow to respond when I press the gas. I though it could possible be a timing chain issue since it is pushing 115k. Any feed back is appreciated.
