Personally, I find the matador red (just like the custom bright-blue from the auto show that everyone was drooling over a few weeks ago) to be a fantastic "showroom color" -- it looks great when clean and shiny on a pedestal. But I don't know that I'd want to be driving it, especially here in revenue-starved California, where the cops are always looking for anything that stands out to write a few tickets. But like heffergm said, "I'm biased."

While I do like the matador red, it's a color that i prefer to admire from afar, as opposed to actually owning one...just a tad too flashy for me personally.

Hmmm... some of you guys seem to think the Matador Red is a "flashy" or attention grabbing color. It's not. It's a beautiful, deep crimson red with a small metallic flake that gives it a glow in the sunshine. However, it IS a deep red, not an in-your-face, Ferarri Red. I was describing the color of my car to a friend the other day as a "blood red... but a "venous" blood red, not an "arterial" blood red," (I pump blood for a living, so it seemed like an obvious description, ).

My Imola Red M3 was much "flashier" than my Matador Red IS350. The IS seems pretty sedate in comparison. Of course, the Techno-Violet M3 I had before that was ...

what do you guys think is the sleekest color for the IS? I was thinking of getting the red but its sorta too pretty for me. I want something more gritty and aggressive looking....So far the only two colors that fit this description is the black or maybe* the sgm. I havent seen the black or red in person yet but the SGM looks sorta dull in person and doesnt seem to shine enough. I wanted black in the beg but a lot of people say it takes a lot of maintence, cleaning everday almost...

Definition of Sleek: having a smooth, gleaming surface, well-groomed and neatly tailored...

Therefore, my preference, in order from most sleek to least sleek:

Matador Red
Black Onyx
Blue Onyx
Smoky Granite
Breakwater Blue
Crystal White
Tungsten Pearl
Desert Sage
Mystic Gold

The only 2 colors I wanted were either SGM or Blue Onyx. I liked them equally, so I decided that I'd just go with the one I could get right away on the lot with black interior and the fewest options. My dealer had the SGM I wanted on the lot, didn't have a Blue Onyx at all, so SGM it was!
