Opinions: good & bad
OK so I know this is all opinions, and prob asked before, but I want to get a more updated view.
I special ordered a 350 in breakwater blue, but am starting to have regrets on it and am thinkin about changing to blue onyx. I know some say breakwater is a weak color, but it has that luxory elegant look to it, looks silvery blue at night, and has that rare attribute.
On the other side blue onyx just looks damn sexy and shows off more of the curves as its a darker color. I originally wanted a light color as I have a black car and its a pain in the u know wut to keep up.
What do you all think?

I say go with the blue onyx. That is a gorgeous color but like you said, it's going to be a pain to keep clean. The breakwater blue is a little to blah for me. my $.02

Hey man...it's your money, so you buy what YOU like! If Breakwater Blue rows your boat then have at it. Breakwater Blue is pretty, especially with the Sterling interior. (Saw it with cashmere weeks ago and thought it looked terrible; just saw it with sterling interior recently and it looks great with sterling.) If your wife is driving the IS she'd really like Breakwater Blue. (Most guys would call it "Brokeback Mountain" Blue, but that's beside the point.)
Now, if you're just wanting opinions then my two-cents worth of opinion is that the Blue Onyx rocks! IMO the Blue Onyx IS is fantastic looking. More importantly, the darker blue shows the aggressive lines of the IS much better than the softer colors do. Harder to keep clean than "Brokeback Mountain" Blue, but so what - three minutes of elbow grease every couple of days to quick detail off the dust and light dirt.
I'd get Blue Onyx!

if you want a standout "silver," BWB will do, i passed one going the opposite direction on the highway and i said, "yep, BWB."
blue onyx is a bit boring for me, but i do agree with other posters that the DARK colors are b-e-a-u-tiful when clean. a BWB will probably never catch your eye in the bright sun like a dark color will.

My initial reaction to BWB was that it was fantastic. My wife thought it might look a little, well, feminine, so decided on SGM.
However, there's a BWB (more or less) VW Passat in the lot at work that looks damn good. I say go with BWB if you really love it.

BWB was my first choice but the only one they had was a demo (no thanks). I ended up w/ SGM cuz it was amazing looking on the dealer floor. Night before I was going to sign the papers I put the saleslady in a tizzy b/c I called her wanting to know if she could find a white or silver near Atlanta.... lol she was a bit miffed. If I had it to do over again I'd go w/ BWB if it was available.... a beautiful color.

I mean no doubt i'm gona get what i want...this post has nothing to do with availabilty or anything, i was just curious on what people's opinions were...please, keep em comin!
O, and i spoke to my dealer earlier about changing the color if I wanted too. Note my special order is only special because of the color, all other features are available in the 350's they get through allocation. First he tried to tell me that he "believed" my order was locked in, but he'd go find out (when i asked about maybe getting blue onyx). When he called back he just simply said..."well we have a black on black", and that they'd prob not get a blue onyx in soon because they "stopped production for the winter", then i kindly denied ithe black and said i'd be in touch.
That has me thinkin, 1) I CAN opt for a different color, and 2) they're throwin more bs at me to get me to not change my color. The Dealers are so pesky!
