Pricing Advice on a Demo 350
I'm looking at a demo model 350 with about 2000 miles on it. The dealer is asking for $35,500, which is obviously too much. I'm not interested in the car unless I can get a good deal (I've already got a decent deal on a 250 that should arrive next week). It's got the premium package and 18 inch wheels. Does anyone have pricing advice? This is in southern California, where prices are generally about 1200 below MSRP for a new IS. I was thinking of offering invoice for this demo model.

Either way, I'd expect at the least to pay under invoice with that many miles on it.

It's got the premium package and 18 inch wheels, so it's as close to no options as I've seen. Like I said, I've got a 250 on order and would be happy with that car. The 350 would just be a fun upgrade if I could get a great deal. Maybe I should offer him $1000 or so below invoice? Has anyone bought a demo car? I bought my Porsche with 2000 miles on it and got 25% below MSRP, but the Lexus seems to command something closer to invoice. Maybe I'm just being fooled.

Here's the pricing on that config:
MSRP: $38,040 Invoice: $33,384
At $35k, he's still got $2k to play with over invoice. I think you'd be nuts to buy it, as you should be able to get the same deal on a new on with 10 miles on the odo. Unless he's willing to do better than that (as in, invoice), forget it.

I've gotten bmw's that were demo's never had a problem, and got about 6K off of msrp. Basically at invoice. So you shouldn't have a problems for asking invoice or below.......also consider this, the car is a hot car and dealers pretty much believe it will go out the door at there requested price.
