Default Quick Nav question.

So, I've had my car for about a week and a half now and am loving every second of it. I noticed in the beginning that when I turned my headlights on at night, my Nav screen would turn to black so it's not white and bright. Recently it hasn't been doing this. The Nav screen just stays white all the time. I looked in the manual and saw that you go to display and/or screen setting and changed it from "day mode." Only problem is that when I go into the display mode and the screen setting the option doesn't come up. There is a screen shot of exactly where it shoudl be in the manual, but it's not there. Anyone have any ideas?

there is a dial on the left side of your steering wheel. Turn the dial down. If it is turned all the way past the click it will stay white. It is the dial that adjust the instrument lighting

That is right - when the instrument lights are all the way turned up (bright as possible) the nav stays in "daytime" mode. Pretty clever if you ask me.
