Center console update and Ipod noise

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I just ordered the noise isolator too for my first gen. IS. I have my iPod hooked up through an FM modulator and am also using the Auto Kit to charge it. I'm getting the whining noise as well, but hopefully this will fix it!

Noise Filter/gli From Radio Shack
Radio Shack stores also carry a similar product, in case you don't want to wait! It completely eliminated any trace of engine whine or noise. Unlike the one sold at Crutchfield, however, it uses RCA type terminals, so you have to get adapters (i.e., RCA to stereo mini plug).
