Is 250 Dash Replacement
My Neighbour is selling his 2006 IS 250 for a steal. I'm looking at around 6,000 dollars only having 25,000 miles on it. But heres the catch.
It has no centre dash. It used to have the Navi with the rear facing camera, and climate, audio control, but that all got stolen from his car. There is no damage to the vehicle just missing that part.
Now Id love to drop even more money buying a navi dash and replacing it but thats a little expensive for a uni student. Only found one on ebay for 1,300 dollars, though the simple just audio and climate control ones are 225 dollars. cheaper the better!
Now I'm asking will the connector inside the centre dash connect to the base version of the center dash and work or do I have to purchase the original navi, rear cam, audio and climate control one? and If the base version connects does it fit properly in the centre dash or will there be massive gaps?
cheers guys any additional info about the centre dash would also be helpful.

you can get a fly audio/aftermarket from alibaba unit for about under 600 bucks which will give you all of that. But before you make the purchase, I would check and see if all the wire harness's are there because having to replace that/getting a wire diagram is going to be hard and expensive. Post pics of the center so we can see how much is missing that way we can give you a a better estimate on if its worth it or not

Some connectors will fit if you buy a standard system versus the navi unit. Some of the other is250 models (with base controls, no navi) have these connectors for the nav option, but are taped off. I would recommend going aftermarket double din stereo with screen and buy the a/c control system separate. Buying from the dealer (navi unit) will cost you about half what you spent on the car. a jumper harness (aftermarket) should help you connect to your new stereo/nav unit.
