Default key programming

2001 is 300 auto

Long story but I have new keys and a new ecu I am trying to program the new key to the car. Someone told me that it was possible with the Toyota smart key programmer, so I purchased one to give it a shot. It came with no instructions(I emailed him but I need to have this done by Monday), but I found 2 pdf's giving step by step walk through only problem is that in one step it talks about pushing the push start button, which this car does not have. If anyone could let me know if the Toyota smart key programmer I bought is even for this car, that would be great. Also if someone had any experience with them and would let me know what steps to follow I would be really thankful.

I know a guy that can program them but I wanted to see if I could do it myself.
