2001 Lexus IS300..$2900 would you buy?
I have been looking around for a Lexus IS300 as a dailiy driver to keep extensive miles /wear from my other vehicle. Im not looking for anything super nice and/or super clean as Im willing to have to put in a little elbow grease to get it looking /running decent. I have searched all around my area (Northern Oklahoma) out to about a 200 mile radius and it seems IS300s are still going for atleast $5500 min for a decent one. Anywho I ran across one today but Im kind of torn as the vehicle is a decent pirce but does have a rebuilt title. I'll give the details below.
2001 Lexus IS300
White w/ black interior
All electronics work as they should; i.e windows, sunroof, lights, gauges etc.
170k miles (Timing belt changed at 160k)
Lowered on S-Tech Tein Springs
Tires are decent about 60% tread life left
Interior about an 8/10
Body and Paint about an 7/10
Has cold air intake (Not sure of the brand, but he also has the stock air box as well)
Rebuilt title due to impact to front end during a vehicle accident , front bumper cover and hood replaced , no frame damage.
$2900....What you all think?
As mentioned I know with a rebuilt title I wont be able to get much of anything for it when I go to sell it (and I've already verified with my insurance company that they'll insure it ) Way I see it for something just to DD and to keep the miles and wear off my other vehicle I think it wouldn't be so bad. I've owned quite a few 2JZ vehicles so Im pretty familiar with the engine.

The price is dead on but me personally have never been to go with anything that has ever been in any sort of accidents or does not have a clean title. If you are willing to go up to around 5k you can find a good clean title one i;m sure. I got a steal with a 98GS400 with 137k miles to use as my daily.

I bought mine with a clean title with a jacked up fender and terrible paint for a few k more. It's been absolutely perfect for 8k. I'd do it in a heartbeat.
