Default 2004 IS 300 is this a good deal?

Spend most of my time on the LS forums... but looking for something smaller for my son...
Found this posted today...
Does this sound like a good deal?

http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/4031017850.html

From the NADA site it appears to be under priced

2004 model, white with 132k miles
ad details:
Awesome 2004 Lexus IS300 it has a 6 inline engine and has 132k. Clean Texas Title. Tags are current, recent inspection. Pearl White. Super clean inside and out. Great reliable car. No mechanical issues. Always used premium gas. Sunroof. Power windows. Dual power seats. cold a/c. tape player. 6 disc cd player/changer.

- new timing belt
- new waterpump

Cars a really good reliable car and fun to drive. and also good on gas. will consider trades for SUV.

Definitely looks like a pretty good deal, especially if you can work them down closer to $6000.

I recently bought a 130k mile '02 IS300 (manual transmission) for $5400. It was beaten and bumped up pretty hard by previous owners, but it does have new waterpump, timing belt, and clutch.

This white IS looks pretty mint though! Lucky kid - just make sure he knows how to take care something actually worth some money... or better yet, make him work/pay for it.

Why does all cars for sale say
- new timing belt
- new waterpump
- new gaskets
- new spark plugs?
I'm not gonna trust that unless I see receipts.
