Default New Member - Intro to me

Hi guys and gals,

I just joined and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Chase and I am from the Dallas TX area. I will be 29 in September. I am married and have a 1.5 year old little girl, with another little one on the way.

I bought my 2004 IS300 SportDesign with a manual transmission in December 2010. So far I haven't had any issues and really enjoy this car.

I previously owned a 92 Honda Prelude with a JDM H22 engine. Great, fun car but it was too small my growing family.

Pic from the dealer when I bought it:

I haven't done too much as far as mods. I replaced the floor mats and got new center-caps because they both showed serious signs of age. I also took some metal polish to the oxidized exhaust tip:

I also removed the Lexus and IS300 badges from the trunk lid but never found a good solution to removing the left over outline from the adhesive. I've tried some of the bug and tar remover compound, Simple green, and GooGone. I guess a low grade paint polish might work better.

Recently I bought some used 17x7 OZ Superleggera wheels to spice things up a bit. I don't plan on modding the suspension much for now since it is my daily. I am thinking about looking for a used SRT intake to add a little bit more engine noise. I had an AEM cold air intake on the prelude and miss the sound of VTEC at wide open throttle.

I have been a member of a number of other forums through the years - preludeonline - acurazine - my.is...

Anyway, that's me.

Welcome!

Sport design emblem should be on fender, not the door.

Good eye. I've been told this before. Not sure how/why it got installed in the wrong place. All of the other SD pieces are present so I believe it is an original SD. I don't know if it bothers me enough to want to move them.
