I have not replaced my clutch yet, but when I do go to do it my plans are to get this kit off ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT
The clutch is better than stock and it comes with a new lighter weight flywheel, which has a replaceable friction plate. Our factory flywheels are dual mass and very expensive to replace if replacement is needed.

I haven't checked around a whole lot, but that is about the cheapest I have found a clutch and flywheel combo. Me and my brothers run a mechanic business in Harrisonburg, Va and I called our parts supplier Carquest and priced a new OEM dual mass flywheel and it was over $1,000 and that was my cost on the item through our business.

i personally have the clutch masters and fidanza flywheel combo. i would NOT buy clutch masters again. i would say either go exedy or ACT. i have an ACT on my other and loveeee it.
if your looking to purchase the flywheel i would recommend titan motorsports, they were very fast on shipping and seem to have the best price, and for me since im in ca, i didnt have to pay tax.

o and btw that ebay link, that is a veryyy good deal
and yes you will want to upgrade the flywheel to the lightened, makes a big performance difference, the fidanza wheel is about 11lbs, while the stock dual mass was about 40lbs.

wow alright thanks for all the help guys. made my decision easy. goin with the ACT clutch and Fidanza flywheel. i feel like im definitely gonna need to change the flywheel as i get shudder/shake when engaging first gear sometimes. either that or just a glazed part on the clutch, well see. i got quoted from lexus dealer at around $350 for stock clutch kit (not including flywheel). but then they get you on the labor which is ridiculous. anyway thanks for all the input. very helpful guys!

My 99 Civic Si has an exedy clutch in it and lightweight flywheel, I love the clutch, but it is too agressive for that car. It is a 3 puck clutch. The clutch was in the car when I bought it so I didn't have much choice when buying the car, although the car shouldn't have needed a clutch considering it only had 71,900 original miles when I bought it almost 2 years ago, and only has 77,680 to this day, but any how the car is stock except clutch and flywheel, and it has already broke one motor mount and I think the clutch being so agressive is what made my tranny start to scrape 5th gear, not sure yet haven't looked into it too much. I'm not saying exedy doesn't have good stuff, because there products are awesome. I'm simply stating do not get something too agressive for your car that your car cannot handle.
