starting problems
hello world...
i drive a 2001 lexus is300
i just recently had this problem, when i turn the ignition to start my car, it clicks...so i have to crank it a couple of times before it starts completely...
is it my battery? because my voltage on the meter shows it at 10/11, or is it my starter?
please respond asap...
thanks

no clue, is that what you had in there before? i replaced mine w. the same rating but different manufacturer
i just knew when you were saying 'clicking' that it was going to be battery
... i had a whole argument w. the canadian tire (its like our big-box home & auto garage place up here) when my car was forcibly taken there and they proceeded to leave my lights on (i guess they thought since i was a girl and knew nothing about cars, yea rite, that they could get an extra $100 out of my for a battery)
on that note: leaving your xenons on for about 12 - 18 min will drain your battery ... so try not to do that

if you manage to turn the car on get a volt meter and see if your alternator is working, you should see 14.1V on the multimeter.
now that you know your battery is being properly charged or not [good to know being that you went to get a new battery dont want this one dying out also], i would suggest you get a wire brush and clean the contacts on the battery terminals.
if correct 850 should be just fine. a die hard is about 650 cold crank at sears, so 850 again should be fine.
