I'm assisting a neighbor with purchasing a Lexus IS300. She is currently looking at a 2002 MY. I did search the forum and am concerned about transmission issues. Is there anything I should specifically look at in a Pre Inspection?

please search as this was just covered not too long ago.

that said no the trannys are good. the cd player is the biggest issue

On the inspection part...Just make sure that they had the major services done. At a stealership, it will cost roughly around $1600+ on a 90k service.
Other than that, I am very happy with my IS.
