stricly hot or cold climate control?
Hi I'm new here so forgive me if this has already been addressed. I have an 02 is300 sportcross and the car is great but recently had the factory 6 disc head unit swapped out for a double din pioneer D3 unit and now my climate control only has hot air blowing down to 66 and cold air below that. There is nothing in between anymore and it was immediately apparent. The shop says they did nothing to it and was cool with looking at it to double check everything. Lexus said the factory head unit obviously interfaces with the factory nav but has nothing to do with the heat controls. I located a good used climate cotrol unit and it does the same thing, tried resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery, still no luck. Has anyone had any experience with this scenario? Appreciate any help...

Hey thanks, I checked out the other thread and it is exactly the same problem as mine. I did swap out my whole climate control unit thinking it might have been damaged but the problem was unchanged....no difference at all. Does anyone possibly know where the interior temp sensor is located?

Good news guys I found the culprit. The interior temp sensor which is located on the lower steering colum cover had a bad connection and apparently the default setting is full hot. Works like a charm now...I'll post this info on the "other" thread, and thanks for the help.
