I have gone ahead and blacked out the upper grill of my silver IS300 .....pic attached showing the new grill installed and the old one on the driveway below. Because the picture was taken in the poor light with a flash, the effect is not as visable. The paint is a gloss black and the chrome trim around the entire opening is now black. A bright daytime pic should show off the effect better.

Any comments or flames?

looks great! looks like the grill is part of the car and that the black mesh is attached to the body panels.

one question, why did you buy a new grill? or was it someone elses?

The car is leased so any mods should be easily reversed...... if I return it.
I also wasn't really sure if I would like it, so I just bought a new one ($142 cdn).

I am wondering if it would look better with the "L" blacked out
as well....what do you think?

I Think on a silver car it would look better if it stayed chrome. hey are you coming down to the big meet in july? its in the states, if you wanna cruise with me and a couple others from toronto down there that would be cool!

Won't make it to the meet. I just stumbled on to this site yesterday and because it's so slow I haven't
really seen much of it yet. Very interesting to see all the mods.
