Default Hey there.

New to this forum hope i can find some helpful insight. I drive a 02 IS and i have the following mods:

AEM short ram
HKS carb-Ti exhaust
Tein Coils w/ EDFC

I really want more power but i dont want to void the warranty. (i would but im not rich. middle class guy driving a higher class car.) Im guesing its at 230 to 240 at the crank now? i havent dynoed it yet. Would a piggy back or turbo east headers void it? Any help on this or any other ideas would be great. Ill post pics once i find out how. thanks.

Well if you really want more power from your 2JZ, you have to do more than just headers and exhaust and etc. Aftermarket headers would ultimately void your emissions warranty since you are altering emissions related equipment. Any piggyback added to your factory ecu i.e. S-AFC or etc will ultimately void your warranty since you are tapping into factory wiring. Unfortunately, the 2JZ-GE in it's form was engineered to give the power and performance by Lexus with economy and longevity in mind. Adding the small mods will obviously help but not give you neck snapping performance you're looking for. Realistically, with those mods (exhaust and intake), you're probably getting another 10 hp or less to the crank. Boost will ulitmately cure it.

hey btw.....how much did you get ur HKS hiper carbon ti exhaust for and where did you get it?? I was planning to get this exhaust but people been saying it cost too much just because it has a carbon fiber wrap and a titanium tip....the regular HKS hiper is around $400-450 ive seen so far and the carbon ti cost like $600-650....pretty big difference there for an exhaust basically the same thing...oh yea and one more thing.....is it loud??? I dont want to attract cops and make them follow my exhaust sound
