It is supposed to raise the shift points a little higher and firm them up slightly....but I don't notice much, if any difference at all in my IS300 E-shift POWER mode. What is MUCH more noticeable is the snow mode....when you switch that on, there is a BIG difference in low-end torque....basically, the tranny starts out in second gear and the engine strains like hell to get the car moving. Even then, the IS300 is not one of the better cars in snow...even with all-season rubber.

Do you know if the "power mode" is related to this somehow? Does "power" mode change the shifting smoothness or just shifts at a different RPM?
i think it only raise the shifting rpm a bit

ECT PWR mode changes the ECT's shift patterns from a more conservative normal shift pattern to a mode that is more responsive and holds the RPM a little longer.
