Default ls430 throttle body will it fit is300

i can tfind the thread anymore but i read that someone with a turbo setup used a ls430 throttle body because it was 80mm is this true..so i f i went out and got one i can just slap it on thanx

its actually from a LS/GS400

currently the trick mod of choice by Toyomoto Turbo and S/C cars...

you cannot just "slap" it on....it needs to be custom cut and welded onto the intake manifold Y piping...I suggest if you're in cali, try SP ENGINEERING

The LS/GS/SC400 share the same engine and therefore throttle body. It measures 75mm. The work and cost necessary to use this larger unit would be substantial. Because of this I have 2 questions: What is the IS300 tb size? Is there even a documented improvement to going larger? Maybe above 600hp... maybe... but below that... I would need to see strong evidence of substancial improvement.

just to clarify, the early yrs ls400 and sc400 they had a different v8 engine than the later yr ones. i am not sure about the tb sizes though

Yes, rominl is correct... I was referring to the 1998-2000 GS/SC/LS400s with the VvTi engine. Thanks for clarifying this. The picture above is of this type.

Bigger throttle body equals better respone and for forced induction this is a must.
