Default Roof dents.

Any or you guys have dents in your roof? Specifically by the sunroof. Big thread in the 2IS ISx50 forum. Wanted to see if it affected F owners too.

My F does not have issues with dents on the roof. My sisters is250 did, but she had a couple incidents with curbs and medians.

I do. Well I wouldn't really call them dents, to me just looks like the metal is deformed where it was stamped out.

I have an 2011. No roof dents but my hood and front bumper has A LOT of paint chips due to rocks and pebbles on the highway. It's driving me crazy. I got some on the roof and doors as well.😩

Look like the after market Rear Subframe Suspension Brace might help with this.

No roof dents or related issues here either other than some paranoia after reading that thread.

I went through a large pot hole last year that deformed my stock wheel completely. The pot hole was so bad that when I took the wheel to get repaired the guy actually thought that it had been in an accident because of how badly it was deformed.

There are no dents in my roof and my hood is not misaligned. I'm hoping that perhaps the isf chassis is reinforced and this doesn't affect it.

Wow that's an eye opening thread. MY08 350 never had that problem.. I'll be keeping an eye on the F now.

Mine has this. Sucks bad. Getting a police report at the time of the incident would have cost another $10k. But it wasn't a small pothole. It sliced the sidewall on the right front tire.

No other gap issues, just indentations around the sunroof. No worries, I'm not selling the car anytime soon.

I read this thread Wouldn't this be some sort of structural issue that Lexus would want to deal with?? I've never hear of hitting a pothole and damaging the roof on any vehicle that's crazy!

I wouldn't call hitting an exposed railroad track at 30 mph exactly like hitting a pothole. Every car flexes, they will all bend, and it's just a matter of the right amplitude blow in the right place. My car still drives normally and the alignment is within all normal specs. I have the best front tire wear I've ever had. So, it might not be pretty on one corner, but the car is still as sound as it was when it was built.
