My new Wedssport SA15r. One issue.
So I received these today and have some concerns. Where the wheels is mounted to the rotor hat isn't flat. It has what looks like a machined lip or ridge. Look where the knife is pointed. This doesn't look normal to me. Isn't this area supposed to be flat? I am waiting on weds response as well.

Looks like a manufacturing defect to me. It should be dead flat there.

Maybe its designed like that for better heat dissipation off the brake rotor.....more air movement between the rim and hub?
It's definitely not the first time seeing a rim like that though.

I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing. I zoomed in. You see the line going across the surface of one of the stud holes? It's like a 1mm ridge or lip. Don't know how else to explain it. All the wheels have it.

Very strange. I guess it's a wedssport thing.
Thanks FSPORT2UR for the pic.
TRANKILL, I guess if you look at it with the wheels already mounted it would flush since it is tapered towards the center of the wheel. And I was looking everywhere for a 2is with these wheels and now I see urs. Thought I was the first. Haha.

I guess they are like that. Found this other pic online. I'm not so freaked out anymore. Maybe it's for weight savings. Lol. I'll get em mounted soon and posted it up.

Jason from getyourwheels checked on it for me. Jason is the man! I definitely recommend him. See Weds response below:
'I sent the pic over to Weds and they confirmed for me that that is actually normal, the wheel is actually built that way on purpose.
According to Weds that is their "Pressure Release" technology which is supposed to keep the wheel from warping over time.
They told me their other track wheels such as the TC105Ns also feature this technology, so I checked a wheel and can confirm that the TC105Ns also have the same machining on the back hub.'
