2008 IS-F Market pricing check
Searching for a 08-10 IS-F. Would love the improved 2011, but not within my budget.
Do they actually sell at KBB private party values for a stock car? Or below book?
I am considering a private party 2008 with higher miles (80k+). KBB values it between $23.5k good to $25.2k in very good condition private party values. The seller is asking $28k but is negotiable. What is a good target price for this car assuming it is clean?
Finally, are there any concerns of buying an IS-F with close to 100k miles? Is it worth spending more for a lower mileage car? This will be a daily driver 12k miles a year.
TIA

$25k in KBB is based off of base ISF's that does not have any of the features that most ISF's have:
ML Audio
Back up camera
Parking sensors
19" wheels
Navi
DVD
Bluetooth
Once you add those main features then it will be an extra $2k.
IMO you shouldn't buy an ISF without any of the above features.

They only made a limited number of them, they discontinued the line so it's no longer being made, it's a highly desirable enthusiast car, and each year they will become harder and harder to find (a certain % of all cars each year get totalled out and crushed due accidents). And when supply > demand, prices go up. Remember the Supra MKIV? They only sold about 11,000 of those from '93-'99, and after production stopped they started going up in value after a few years. So the ISF might not start going up starting right now, but my prediction is that we see them bottom out in the low 20's and then start going back up. I'd be shocked if a good condition, low mileage ISF ever goes for under $20K.
