1-2 mins, I notice when outside temp is in the 30s the rpm goes higher on first start then drops down, but when outside temp is below 30s the rpm doesn't go higher but stays low when the engine first turn on in the morning. anyone else here has the same situation ?
I give my car at least 60 seconds to warm up . If its cold ( rare in AZ) then I will start it and run in the house to let my dogs back in and then jump in the car. Might be 2 min max.
I start it up and go as well. It's garaged at home, but even when it's been sitting in the parking lot at my office and it's cold I still start and go. No revving until I get at least 1 bar, and no redline or WOT until 3 bars.
Hahaha! Me too! Although I have seen a few idiots over there the years rev cold engines to the Moon, or even bounce them off the rev limiter on an effort to impress someone/anyone.
I know for a fact J (Vervish) would never treat his car like that!

Our cars have smart cold start scenarios attached to them, this is normal. =)
