Default Dealer unable to calibrate 12 steering ECU!!

I installed a used 12 steering ecu into my 08 2 weeks ago. This came from a running F. The car drives okay but I wanted to get it calibrated. About 5 miles from Longo Lexus for the fan bolts recall, the steering was feeling slightly weir so I asked them to perform the calibration too.The SA called me earlier today and informed that the tech was not able to recalibrate it for whatever reason. This is strange! Should I take it to another dealer or a Toyota dealer? Who else would have access to a techstream to perform it? I informed them that it was a used ecu when it was taken in

I installed it myself. Just wanted them to calibrate it. Might just take it to a Toyota dealer. Cheaper anyways

It seems that you don't have too many options.
Take it somewhere else. I am surprise they didn't give you a reason why it is not calibrating.
I hope you get it sorted. Good luck and post an update.

The issue for the tech is you want him do something that is "out of the box". Its a 2012 ECU on a 2008. In his eyes if he calibrates it and theres an issue still , you will return and it will be his headache to get it figured out on his time and dollar. I have been down this road before with previous cars.
