Have the stock seats rebuilt with larger bolsters.

I have buckets in my boosted is250, and love them over the 2IS stock seats. Don't mind the airbag light

I was the guy asking about your air bag light on facebook The other guy that had buckets said he was using a resistor to fool the airbag light. He also used the stock base so they were still power and had memory working.

I have had an air bag go off, my drive shaft broke and hit the shock sensor. The air bags deployed but I sit far enough back it didn't hit me. i went into shock so I don't think it hit me but honestly I don't recall much but I had no injuries. Like I said it wasn't an accident so I had no forward momentum when it went off which most people will have.

Is there anyway to solve the problem? Anyone knows if there is an aftermarket ecu or something like that in order to trick/fool the computer?
Please help me out
I did this mod on my 2004 Subaru WRX STi. There were side airbags built into the OEM seats.

The solution was to buy 3.3 ohm resistors, solder them to a wire and then connect the ends to the side airbag connector, that closed the loop and tricked the computer to think the airbags were still present.

You may be able to do the same thing, but I don't know the resistance value in this case.

Hope that helps.

Do you have any idea of where I can get the 3.3 ohm resistors? Do they have specific resistors for specific car models?

Insurance co's would consider this tampering. In the event of an accident they could give you all sorts of trouble.

Andy, in the interim consider getting one of these locks. They'll help secure you tighter in your seat with the OEM seats and belts.

The airbags are not that bad, just disable them and you are done. M3 owners replace their seats all the time and the technology is all similar. However I have never seen an IS-F with aftermarket seats oddly

I can try to dig the source where I got them.

I am not sure if they were specific to the Subaru or not. I have a feeling one could measure the circuit's resistance with a digital multimeter, but I'm not an expert on this.

DO NOT DO THIS! Attempting to measure the resistance of the squib with a multimeter would very likely result in the airbag deploying.

There is nothing special about resistors. It's pretty simple to buy the requisite connectors, pigtails and some 1/4w resistors to fab what you need to do this. Emulating the pressure mat in the passenger's seat is a bit more tricky, but still possible. I won't spend time with this only because I would remove the whole thing, not try to fool it into being partially operational. None of this is challenging electronics at all. An O2 sim for Lexus is difficult. Fooling the SRS ECU is not.

In the early isf days there was a member named dejipanda or something who had a set of bride race seats in his isf. He's a member on gtrlife now. I'm sure you could find him without to much stress.
