Anyone got rid of their spare tire?
I'm installing a stereo system and it'll be a cleaner install with the spare tire removed. I've actually never used the spare tire in the last 18 years I've driven but I guess you never know. Is it better to just get a flat repair kit in case of an emergency?

and you will probably blow a tire as soon as you remove it. LOL J/K... I have never used mine as well ( thankfully ). I do keep a flat repair kit in my trunk and I have a discount tire 2 miles from my house and one extremely close to the office . Should be fine. I wonder if it will help corner exit oversteer if I remove that weight on the track

Some German cars now come without a spare. Instead, they supply a puncture repair kit and a compact 12V air compressor to pump up the tyre after the repair.
BTW doesn't the IS F manual say that the emergency-only spare can only be used on the rear (or is it the front? I don't have the manual handy.). So what do you do if you get a puncture at the front (or rear?)? Maybe it's time to get a puncture repair kit and a compressor instead of that spare wheel.
