First Lexus - '08 IS F - Questions
Hi all, I just purchased a 2008 Lexus IS-F yesterday and it was 100% stock except for the K&N intake and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
I have a few questions, and I've spent a ton of time reading the forums here so hopefully these aren't well-covered already and I didn't just miss the answers that are already here.
Regarding the intake, I've seen the intake "shootout" threads and dyno tests here, and the consensus opinion is that the unprotected cone-filter intakes are subject to heat soak and basically reduce power significantly. However, I read the review of the K&N intake at MotoIQ and they showed a 23-30hp gain on the dyno. That doesnt match up with the opinions I seem to have found on a lot of the threads.
All that said, I'm still more inclined to pick up a Joe Z or F Sport intake, but since this car came with the K&N intake, I don't have the stock airbox. Is that expensive to pick up?
Also had a question about Bluetooth, is there any way to get factory Bluetooth music streaming added, like a later model head unit or anything?
And is there a Lexus remote start that allows you to use one fob only to start and drive the car, that doesn't shut the car off when you open the door? I've searched the web and I can't find anything on the Lexus websites.
I'm also planning to get a 2013 suspension and a 2012 steering control module.
I apologize if any of these questions are buried somewhere here on the site, I have done a ton of reading in the last 48 hours and I did find answers to a lot of questions I had, but I also found follow-on questions to a lot so I'm throwing it out there for anyone that's willing to take a stab at it.
Thanks in advance =]

Next weekend I'm installing the following on my 08 with help:
ISBT21
SVX200
ISTY12
+ the nav and DVD bypass from Beatsonic
If you'd like, I can post again with a detailed description of the functionality.

Man, seems like there are a ton of ISF owners in Texas. I'm in Austin.
I guess buying a stock airbox is probably a huge waste of money, so I'll have to look around and see what the next best option is with a good heat shield. I'm probably going to stick to the stock exhaust, I bought the car primarily for my gf to drive and she isn't into the loud stuff.
I'll call Sewell and ask about the remote start and 2013 suspension, and the steering module, see what their prices are.
