Yes, it sounds great when you open it up, but it drones TERRIBLY from 2-3000rpm

ok here is a twist, im thinking about keeping the stock mufflers and running a true dual 2.5" with a x-pipe deleting the secondary cats and resonator. basically cutting the exhaust just before the secondary cats to right before the mufflers. anybody ever do this, i cant find a youtube vid of this. later on when the $$$$ is right, then get some ppe headers but for now keep the primary cats.

Even when the rest of the exhaust is stock with all the cats?
