Help - Issues after JoeZ Exhaust Install
#16
Just installed mine on Sunday, found that if you gently pull the rubber plug out of the stamped floor sheet metal, you have some extra 'twist' in the wiring without damaging it.
Additionally, you can hang the exhaust mid section (or place it on a tall adjustable stand if you are doing the job on a hoist), and have enough length on the O2 sensor wires to install them before bolting the mid section to the exhaust manifolds. Frame rail clearance then becomes a non-issue.

Thanks for the tips.
I ended up picking up the correct socket, making sure the wires are as straight as they are going to be, and checking to make sure it was tight. I actually found that the passenger side pipe that bolts to the manifold had loosened a bit, so I tightened that down. The exhaust now sounds just right, it was much louder before and I suspect I had a leak from that pipe. Seems good to go for now.
Hopefully I didn't damage the wires to the O2 sensor, but if the check engine light comes back I will just replace that sensor and be extremely careful with the wires.

Because you're too scared to mod a car so you're subconsciously looking for reasons not to.
The potential issues in this thread are extremely easy fixes, really not a big deal. There are numerous people on here who have the JoeZ exhaust and have either had no issues at all, or had the aforementioned issues and they were easily fixed.

Thanks for taking the time to bring an idea to fruition, at a fair price. It is obvious it isn't all about the money for you. You are a cool human Joe, a rare commodity in this day and age.
