At least the fix is covered and cheap if not.

You might want to check your production date. They changed this part in April of 2010. This problem is not unique to the F. All the 2UR platforms are affected, so it wouldn't matter if you bought first year or not.

The GS and LS affected were not just first model year engines. This same water pump is found on the 01/2005 GS460s, so by the time it showed up on the F it was already two model years old.

The original part is 16100-39505 (no longer available) The new part is 16100-39506.
