Nice job but remember to continue to drive your line you were at times following him and his horrible lines as your frustration grew .
You should have passed like the winged car did much earlier
I agree with you but I want to follow the rules. I watched someone get black flagged 2 weeks ago for not following the rules and get the boot. I don't want to get kicked off after a 1.5 hour drive to get there.
Good stuff man!! I was just there a few weeks ago, Front tires are at the belts now but if i get some tires this week I'd be down to go this saturday if you're still going. Be nice to run another F at the track. That dude in the GTR needs to stay off the track. Thats the only thing that sucks about open lapping days at that track, you can only pass on the straights.

This. Never, ever drive the car in front of you. ALWAYS drive the track even if it mean getting right up on his butt to make him realize he needs to point you by. Aren't there any corner workers who can flag slow people to force them to point you by? The guys I run with have a blue flag for slow drivers, and they're pretty aggressive about using it.
One of my green group run days there was a GTR. I could easily hang with him. In the yellow group a different guy in a GTR blew by me like I was in reverse. Different driver makes all the difference in the world.

Open lapping at TMP has 1 person monitoring the track from the entrance/exit and that's it.
following his bad lines is classic target fixation, very unsafe. You were getting frustrated thus focusing on the GTR and mimicing him instead of driving the track
