What battery do you guys recommend?

Well I have a 2009 and I'm on my 3rd lexus battery already here in Texas. I've never had batteries die this fast in any of my other cars, but then again I lived in the Bay area before I came to Texas. Maybe the heat has something to do with it.

In the Marines we had Optima red tops and they went out all the time, due to heat. But those are under really extreme conditions. I personally have used red tops and do not like them. The yellow top is a deep cycle battery just like the blue tops. The battery I listed earlier in this thread is the same battery that Optima recommends with the exception of addition side posts. I called Optima and they confirmed what I thought, that it would work fine, just keep the shipping caps on the side posts. That yellow top in my car pictured earlier in this thread, is the battery in my race car, that is currently in the process of freshing up. I have had that battery in 4 different vehicles and I have had it for going on 4 years. I have only had to charge it once and even then it only took about 10 minutes to bring it back. The yellow tops batteries are freaking hauses, those are some tough batteries. I live in Houston, TX where it regularly get close to 100 deg. it freaking hot here and heat destroys batteries. Not the yellow tops though, they can take the heat.

Odyssey 34
Hey guys, I just installed a Odyssey 34 PC1500T battery in my 2010 IS250, it has some great reviews and a four year free replacement. The new battery is not as tall or as wide but worked great with the plastic spacer that snaps on the bottom, here's some pics before and after, link where to order.

I wish they made a Group 24 Diehard Platinum. To my knowledge Odyssey (manufacturer of Platinums) doesn't make one either. The Platinums are about 2/3 the price of an equivalent Odyssey. The closest is the 34-1500 as described above in toyoman's post.
