Default Help & Advice Needed From Across The Water

Hi Guys,

just joined ClubLexus and am after some help and advice.

I own an ISF 2009 model in the UK. My car goes in a straight line but the steering wheel is slightly to the left when going straight. If I i put the steering wheel in the central position the car will go to the right.

I have had tracking done on the car and a full 4 wheel geometry done with the Hunter machine. All is perfect but steering wheel is still off.

I have even replaced the front tyres but this hasn't resolved anything.

i have read here various topics that people have had where their ISF is drifting to one side and have had parts replaced to resolve this? Is this what i need?

any help and advice is appreciated...

Thanks

Roheel

Whoever did your alignment did not have your steering wheel set properly when they did the alignment. Only other possibility would be if the steering was removed after the alignment was done and was re-installed off center.

Congratulations on your purchase!

Thanks for the reply!

Steering was 100% straight as I confirmed it before they aligned the car... It's really not making sense what could be doing it.

If all else seems normal, pull the wheel and put it back centered.

Is your car stock? i.e. has anyone installed headers on the car? because that usually requires the steering shaft to be removed and re-installed after the headers are in.

I had a slight issue when I installed my headers, check here ---> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...tallation.html

I fixed it with a toe alignment (not the best way to go about it but it worked for me)

Did you actually drive the car onto the alignment machine and know for a fact it was not moved by anyone else?

car is pure stock, no mods at all. Yes i drove it on the machine and was with the guy through the whole process so know nothing was moved. I will get the dealer to sort the steering wheel out. Cant understand why it would be out as its never been removed.
