Square 285 30 18 Setup
I'm looking to replicate this setup, but the rims I'm looking at are +40 offset, instead of the PF01 +45 offset. Will there be enough clearance?
Have you tried 285 or 275 35 18? It would be close to stock rolling diameter and lots of tire choices.
Also, if you shaved the fenders, do you think you could go wider?
Thanks!

look at my thread here..... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...rack-duty.html
my TSW Interlago's are 18" wheels and have +40 offset... No fender mods running 275 Nitto NT01's.
Hope this helps

Hah, that is exactly the wheel I was looking at too! Maybe I'll get the Nurburgrings to be different.
Thank you for answering the 275/35 question, that is a cheap size with lots of options.
Can you tell if a 285/30 would fit with the TSWs? It puts it 5mm further away from the suspension than the PF01s and I wonder if that will help fitment. I am willing the shave the insides of the fenders a bit.

I would guess so, but I'm no "fitment expert"
I REALLY like the look of my TSW Interlago's in black.... pics don't do it justice... but I saw a S2000 the other day with the silver ones and they looks VERY NICE!! Kinda makes me wish I would have got those as chips/scratches in the black paint is very noticeable and hard to touch up... :/
I looked at the Nurburgrings too,but I felt they were too similar to the OEM wheels I have... plus would be harder to clean...
You live in Ontario right? I don't think anybody there will know that a guy in Kansas has the same wheel setup... I really like the Nitto NT01's btw and will probably never buy another tire besides it for the track... The only other tire I might consider is the NT05's if I decided to get a more daily friendly tire (but it's obviously not R-comps)

Thanks Doc. I didn't think about chipping paint, maybe I'll go with the silver then. The Interlagos are slightly lighter than the Nurburgrings too.
I'd love to throw R comps on there, but I need to stick with a street tire, but I'm not sure which yet.

Well, I was in the tire shop getting a nail plugged today. They found a gash in the sidewall too, so i needed to replace a 1 month old 275 PSS...
Anyway, the tire company also sponsors our local motorsport events and told me I could get Toyo R888 275/35/18 through the racing program for a good price. So I got those ordered. Next we were looking for the TSW rims and found all the Interlagos were out of stock, so I placed an order for the Nurburgers with machined face.
Besides the tire problems, I'm pretty happy and can't wait to get the R888s on the track.
