meh. My 03 LS430 was in an accident, front pass side. A few pieces needed to be replaced. Along with lights and the such....nothing was wrong with it.
As long as its a good shop, and it can hold an alignment, and there are not huge gaps between panels, I would be ok with it.

And since when does a $60k car make you look rich??? Although when people who dont know guess, they guess around 100k.

The only way a car gets a salvage title is if the repair cost more than the car is worth... that doesn't mean it was reported correctly to a car fax or an insurance company. Salvage titles are bad things... this is a good race car starter

We should have a "what do you do, and how much do you make" thread ^__^

Most states the damage has to be 75% of the cars worth for a salvage title...which is a lot of damage! See the link below for good info. The fact that they are trying to downplay the damage that was done to the car is a bit troubling.http://usedcars.about.com/od/safetyr...lvageTitle.htm

^^ Yea but with the cost of replacement parts on the F I bet it wouldn't take much to write one off. If the bags go in the collision I bet you're pretty close to writing it off from the insurance company's standpoint. I'm weird and spend a lot of my time looking on salvage auto websites and yea some are completely eff'ed but a majority of the salvage title cars are in my opinion pretty light hits that would be easily fixed.
Maybe that isn't the case here but who knows... just saying!
