There has been wald replicas out there for the IS-F already.. you just need to know who to talk to

The fitment will never be as good as wald though.

I met a fellow who had trimmed his Mercedes with AMG trim, even painting the brakes red. Reminds me of when I put a racing stripe on my first car, a '59 VW. But I grew up.

If I am looking at this right, the OPs concern isn't a knock-off Wald that we would put on our Fs but, rather that it is a "conversion" kit for ISx50 owners. Kinda like those conversion kits that came out for the 1st gen IS300s to replicate IS-F styling. Not a good thing... but that is my opinion...

I'm gonna take the high road.
If someone does a conversion on an IS350 I can live with that because the car has good power.
If it's the 250 I can't accept that.
As long as the work is clean and there are no ISF badging I can deal with it.

Look, Lexus sells an F-Sport model with no real power upgrade and no balks about it. I have a small issue with something called IS250 F-Sport. It's still a slow car.
So if people are okay with slow F-Sport IS250, why not a Wald ISF style kit on a IS350?

I wouldn't do it but I won't slam anyone for doing it....unless I see an ISF badge on it.

I think the fact that ISx50 owners doing this is far fetched, but it is possible. Us ISF owners take pride in its exclusivity, and to see wannabe ISF's running around sucks.

Knockoff CONVERSIONS are impossible to do perfectly, so it will be obvious when we see a regular IS with ISF parts. Knockoff PARTS are a different story... a bunch of F owners use replica lips and spoilers with little to no fitment issues, so you can't really tell.

It was only a matter of time until China started producing knockoff conversion kits for the posers........

Yep, full conversion kit for regular ISx50 is the concern. I know many of us IS-F owners are rocking replica parts, there is nothing wrong with that. I don't think the front bumper on this kit was done right anyways. The fog lamps and brake ducts areas are not wide enough as a real IS-F. The rear however, is very dead on.

I've seen a few non IS Fs with F bumpers both front and rear. It's a clean look, and I can understand why owners would spend the time to make everything fit and look nice, especially considering it's not a direct bolt on, but it's easy to tell which is which. Imitation is the best form of flattery, I guess.
