2012 catback HKS SSM installed
Hi everyone, bought my machine back in nov 2012 brand new and been lurking on this forum for mods idea and have recently purchased a catback hks ssm sys from a fellow member. I know this exhaust system is pretty rare so i want to share my exp with all fellow members! The axel-back installation was very straight forward, i however ran into problem installing the mid-pipe to the cat. The flanges on the hks center pipe is way too small to bolt on to the cat, so with some modification, the exhaust is up and running. No leaks found after initial start-up. I have to say this, this exhaust might not net you the most hp gain (hell might not even be any gain at all) but in my opinion, it is probably one of the best exhaust sound on all of the cars i've owned in the past. Its deep, its sorta raspy, sounds like an american muscle mix with itailan exotic... Anyway, i snapped a few sh8tty iphone pics, i will for sure try to post some video up as soon as possible. Hope you guys enjoy!

can you please elaborate the differences between your mid pipe and mine? Cause the person who sold it to me told me its authentic hks center pipe however it does looks a little bit different..

Hey guys I have a few question. After driving my car for a day. There are few things I noticed. The fuel consumption is alot better for some reason. Used to avg 16-18L/100km now after a day or semi hard driving which consist of 50/50 hwy and city I saw an avg of 12L. Secondly. I notice the shifting changed a bit. Used to be more crispy, fast and precises. I'll be going 8th gear 1500rpm. I left off the gas and rpm drops to 500ish and in sport and M mode, I feel a slight delay in changing from gear 1 to 2 to 3. Anyone exp this? Thanks in advance!
