Hi Guys,

Well I've had my ISF for nearly 2 weeks now and recently had Tints installed and 3M Clear Bra.

Now recently over the past 3 days I've noticed an annoying ticking noise coming from the driver's side door.

When I go over any sort of uneven road or bumps the door goes "Tick" and it's annoying as hell especially since it's next to the driver's side so I always hear it.

When I push the door trim up against the window from the inside the ticking noise goes away, when I let go of the door the ticks come back.

I'm sure it's probably just a loose bolt or some cushioning that needs to be installed but I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced such a noise.

I'll be getting the dealer to have a look once it goes in for service in 3k km or so.

Maybe when u got it tinted , the installer took out the door inside panels and loosen a nut or something that maybe y u heard the noise. Open up and double check

Sounds like a similar problem I've had since new and the dealer or Lexus aust have not been able to fix in 2 years and multiple visits.

Let's hope it is not the same or if and you find a lotion please post.

Thanks for the feedback guys,

The installer did not take off the doors, I saw him working and he installed the tints on the windows with no door removal.

Well no one takes off the doors...we're talking about the door panels...sometimes they don't have to take it off completely. The shop that did my tint just popped the panel off so that they can tint more of the glass to ensure that all visible areas were tinted.

I'll see what the dealership says and then decide if I will take the DIY route

Mine does the same thing and drives me insane. Comes from the edge close to where my elbow rests.

To correct myself the noise does not actually come from the door trim, it comes from the B pillar in my car.

If I squeeze my fingers between the B pillar trim and rear door I can generally stop it ticking.

I have put a folded business card in the B pillar trim and this seems to stop in for the most part but I am not convince. I took the car back to the dealer with this info but still they are unable to fix.

I am not sure if they are taking the **** out of me or it is that difficult to find. Anyhow I have learned to live with it.

Hmmm, well I really hope the dealership can fix the noise because it is driving me insane sometimes.

I've owned my Infiniti G35 Sedan for over 4 years and no noise this annoying has come up, so I really hope that Lexus won't let me down.

I'll update this thread once I've taken the car in for service and let you guys know if they managed to fix anything.
