Default Metallic Winding up noise?

Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone else experiences a metallic-like winding up noise when accelerating. It seems to occur when the car is warming up in the first 10 minutes or so. After a while it goes back to that raw sound you would expect from a V8, but while I'm accelerating after initially starting the car, i am always hearing this winding up noise that sound like a bunch of knives scraping against each other or something. Is anyone else familiar with this noise?

I'm sorry I'm not familiar with what the rear differential gear is supposed to sound like, but the noise is coming from the engine of the car when accelerating.

Mine makes the same sound under same conditions.
I still haven't taken it to the dealer because you can only hear it
when the car is completely cold and only when I drive by something
that reflects the sound.

I posted about it a while back and Lobuxracer said it was the tranny pump.

Thanks for the reply, just checked out your thread and yes it does sound like a supercharger winding up or something. Only i hear it everywhere I'm driving, not just when i drive by something that reflects the sound. But at least someone else knows what I'm talking about with this noise. Thank you RC.

I had a similar sounds coming from my car. The dealer replaced the "1UR-FSE,2UR-GSE,3UR-FE ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT TENSION" according to my paperwork.
