This was my biggest fear when buying my car. I originally left a deposit on a car in Jacksonville and I was really scared to ship it. Fortunately I ended up finding my current car close enough to me that I could drive it home.

that grinding sound is going to give me nightmares

here is the proper platform truck you need for loading exotic cars that are low to the ground (i took this photo in Taipei, Taiwan last month outside Ferrari & Maserati's service center)
notice how the whole platform comes down to create a more gradual angle?
