well....with the stock 255/40 you have a lot more options/brands to choose from than 265/35....and since not a lot available we just have to go with whatever the price they want to charge...when you can go with different size at better price and value.....maybe 275/30 or 285/30 like some of the members are running....my car is lowered so 300+ per tire per year to me is expensive.

I will wait to see it on the "Official Lexus" 2012 IS-F Spec sheet changes...

I'm glad they're illuminating the buttons on the mirror. I've found myself fumbling around at those in the dark before.

I saw this post on the web yesterday, its for the euro spec - seems like we had most of the chassis update last year as part of 2011. It does mentions a 14 spoke BBS wheel design. Curious to see what that'll look like.

They should really have gone with 8.5" front and 9.5" rear rims and wider tires, right from the start. Cars with half the power come standard with 225 front, 255 rear.

P.S. That price looks scaaaaary.

It's nice to see that even when the car is on its way out, Lexus is still fine tuning it. I'm curious to know about the new colors because the US already has a red and grey so I'm wondering if these are completely new red and grey or if they're talking about the MR and SGM? Either way, I also like that they now have a red interior option. Hopefully, this will come to the US and if so, I can't wait to see what this red interior option looks like. I think it will look awesome with the SGM exterior.

"with more than 350 sold to date it accounts for 5 per cent of IS sedan sales."

I'm assuming this is just Austrailia? How many have actually sold here in the US? But glad to here there will be some updates for this year...small ones. That way buying a 2011 just last week won't make me feel as bad.

I completely missed the picture link and OMG, those wheels are hot. I liked the previous wheels but I love this wheel. IMO, I alway thought that the wheels were the weak point in the design because they just looked so busy and I hate busy wheels because they're such a pain to clean. These wheels remind me of the BBS CH wheels.

Wow! Now, I really want an IS-F!

Those wheels are nice, much better than 10 and 11 models! Maybe the finish on the wheel will hold up to the brake dust!

well australia has just received the is350 and it's been selling very well
ISF's are rare in australia
so far according to dealers theres are only 350ish registered in australia.
this is due to the fact that they limit to 100 ISF's per year

Lexus goes with conservative with wheel/tire fitments mainly to meet their criteria for mileage, noise and comfort. Sure IS F is not your typical Lexus but the IS F is a very quiet car and fairly fuel efficient in comparison to the others.
It looks like Toyota put out a press release regarding the 2012 IS-F and the rear tires are increasing size to 265/35-19 and the front wheels are increasing from 8 to 8.5. The best news is that they're changing the wheels design and although the press release doesn't show the style, I was able to find an article from OZ regarding the updated 2012 IS-F and it shows a picture of the updated wheel design and I love it! It reminds me of the BBS CH wheel. Here's a link to the press release.

I'm interested to see what Nebula Grey Pearl looks like and how they execute the red interior but 2012 sounds exciting for the IS-F even if these are minor changes.
