Default how to remove front grill

I'd like to have my front grill and emblem blacked out. Does anyone know how to remove the front grill? I see that along the top there are the two plastic clips and the 10mm bolt in the middle. However, I don't see a way to unfasten the bottom of the grill.

Any help is appreciated. THanks.

You have to remove the whole assembly first by sliding out towards the front of the car. There are push clips along the bottom and sides that you'll have to disengage and then you can pull it out. It very tight and almost makes it feel like your going to break it but it will loosen up and come free.

Once you get it out you can seperate the middle from the outer part but you'll have to remove all the plastic push clips that hold down the weather strip. Then I believe there are three more along the top and bottom that are visible when its away from the car.

^^I'm planning on painting it myself. I'll rough up the chrome enough and get a few good coats of primer on there.

The only push clips I see at the bottom are the ones holding the mesh grill to the grill bezel. I don't see or feel any clips that hold the bezel / assembly to the bumper.

I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but this grill has me feeling like a clutz. Could you elaborate on this a bit more on how to remove the assembly from the bumper? Thanks.

Remove the top three screws first, then the weather stripping on both side connecting it to the center grill. Then work on the push clips on both sides. There is one of each side about halfway down. Once you get those free you'll be able to wiggle and push the grill forward from the back side to disengage the bottom. The clips are about impossible to get free without a removal of the front bumper IMO.

Once you get it out, you'll have to take the weather stripping completely off to see that those small plastic clips and more push clips along the side and bottom are holding the center and outer section together. Its quite the design, You may break a couple of clips in the process.

Just FYI, you don't have to remove the grill to get the Lexus emblem off, its just double sided taped on, and a plastic tool would get it off if that is all your after, GL.

Its easy. Theres tabs on the bottom inside of the grill, they slide out. Start doing it and youll get it.
I think supraman has some pics in a post.

I'm interested in removing the bottom grill from the front of my 2010 IS-F. Do you guys know how this comes off?

Thanks in advance.
