5.0L V8 versus 5.7L iForce V8
While driving this morning I was thinking, Lexus could have inserted the 5.7L iForce V8 off the Toyota Tundra. Would have the .7L in displacement made a difference in power and economy? Would there have been fitment issues? Would it have been a Lexus versus Toyota motor issue? What are your thoughts? Thanks for your opinions.

The 5.7L (3UR-FE) in the Tundra is in the same UR engine block family as the 5.0L (2UR-GSE) in the IS-F and the 4.6L (1UR-FSE) in the LS/GS. The heads are obviously different for each application.

i don't think it's possible. cylinder walls will get too thin and eventually the engine blows. almost all displacement increasing kits on the market is a stroker kit.
the 5.7 has a smaller bore but a much longer stroke compared to the 5.0. this is ideal for torque but not rpm's.

Stroking to 91.5 drops red line to 6555 rpm for any long term reliability. Anything over that is asking for a seriously short service life. Besides that, a 6mm overbore in a Toyota engine? Wow. They've not made a block that full of meat for a very long time unless 5Axis have removed the existing bores and replaced them with a whole new bore and deck combination. This kind of mod means even shorter long term reliability. The power will be nice. The problems will be immense.

FiveAxis didn't do the engine work. It was done internally at Toyota Motorsports Garage.
