Default Replacement center console

Hi everyone,
The armrest for the center console on my 2008 F is broken and im panning in replacing it. The dealer said i need an entire new center console and wanted to charge me 1200 bucks. I have found the part from a 2010 is250 and i was wondering if any of y'all might know if it would fit.

Thanks in advance,
Rodney

Yeah, I have seen those and the a couple of lids on ebay... Stealership is saying the whole center console needs to be replaced at $1500. I just dont see how the flat black bracket mounts to the new lid. Im sure Ill figure it out. Hoping Lexus is going to cover it. So far Maxcare Warranty said no... 7 times.

Im about as mechanically savvy as a field mouse. I'd definitely enlist the help of one of a friend but from what it looks like and the videos ive watched. We can remove the rear vent to gain access to the hinge. I think part 6 needs to come off as well.

I haven't taken the lid off but pretty much everything else can be removed without being mechanically inclined.

If the mount for the lid at the rear is broken, you must order the whole console. Yes, the IS250/350 part will work. The references above are for just the lid, but it never breaks, it's the four pins with springs on them that actually hold the back down and the pins break.

I need a new unit for this reason. The front release is available separately, but the rear mount is not.

Be glad it isn't the upper grille for a GS F. You can't get the upper grille separately, have to buy the ENTIRE spindle grille assembly for $5k+ just for the one piece. Everything else can be bought separately (and that spiffy carbon fiber center piece is a cool $4k all by itself...) IS F parts aren't cheap, but they're nothing like a GS F.
